Floorsaver Concrete Sealer Dustproofer is a penetrating dustproofer and hardener for concrete floors. This unique water based acrylic penetrates deeply into porous concrete leaving a dust free finish. Not only is it a highly effective dustproofer, but it strengthens the substrate too. Unlike traditional sealers and dustproofers, Floorsaver Concrete Sealer Dustproofer does not leave a surface film which needs maintaining, instead it does its job beneath the surface of the concrete. This high performance dustproofer binds weak, dusty concrete together, stabilising it and helping to prolong the life of the floor.

You don’t need to be an expert to apply Floorsaver Concrete Sealer Dustproofer as it’s incredibly easy. All you need to do is pour it on and sweep it around the area you want to seal. It dries quickly and helps to shrug off stains and dirt, making cleaning much easier. What’s more, you can use it both inside and out.

Please note: Concrete Sealer Dustproofer will be labelled as Concrete Dustproofer.

Step 1 - Preparation:

  • Surfaces should be clean and dry. If the floor is quite clean, a good sweep and vacuum may be enough.
  • Use Floorsaver Cleaner & Degreaser to remove oil and grease.
  • Floorsaver Concrete Sealer Dustproofer is suitable for bare, porous concrete only. If in doubt that your surface is porous, tip a cup of water onto it and see if some soaks in, if so, Floorsaver Sealer Dustproofer is suitable. If the water beads up on the floor and shows little sign of soaking in, please do not use our product.
  • Avoid washing very porous surfaces such as sand and cement screed since they will absorb too much water and you’ll need to wait approximately a day or so for them to dry out (depending on temperature).

Step 2 - Repairs:

  • Fill small surface holes and cracks using Floorsaver Crack & Hole Filler. Use Floorsaver Pourable Concrete Filler for holes 5mm50mm deep. Floorsaver Mouldable Concrete Filler can be used if you want a curved edge, such as a stair nosing, etc.
  • Just to be aware, you will see the repair through the clear dustproofer.

Step 3 - Application:

  • First of all make sure the area has good ventilation (i.e. doors and windows should be open to create a ‘through draught’) and that it’s warm enough for it to dry; you should aim for an air temperature of no less than 15°C.
  • Shake the container for a few seconds. Pour it onto the floor, a small area at a time, and distribute evenly using a soft broom, working it well into the surface. If it immediately ‘disappears’ into a very porous surface, add a little more. Keep the application even and avoid letting the product puddle on the surface. One is usually enough just to make sure all the ‘pores’ of the concrete have absorbed as much as they possibly can.
  • Clean applicators in water.

    QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    Ask a Question
    • A: Hi, yes it can e sued outside on brickwork, blockwork or concrete provided it is dry and has some porosity to allow the coating to soak in and bond.

    • A: Hi,

      Thank you for your enquiry,

The dustproofer is specifically for pourous surface to be able to penetrate. I would recommend thoroughly abrading the surface, It would then be advisable to do a water test - pour a cup of water on the floor to ensure the water absorbs, if it does then this would indicate good porosity,  if the water beads or pools then we wouldn't advise using.

If I can help further please let me know.

      Regards

      Mark

    • A: Yes a water based epoxy would be absolutely fine. You could use our epoxy floor paint - https://www.floorsaver.co.uk/collections/paint/products/epoxy-floor-paint.  If you need help working out how much you'd need just give us a call and we can work it out for you.

    • A: Hi, floor levelling compounds can be used over the top of Concrete Dustproofer, and we do have one called Pourable Floor Leveller, https://www.floorsaver.co.uk/products/pourable-concrete-leveller-20kg?_pos=1&_sid=2549623ba&_ss=r . This comes with a sealer/primer included so if you were looking to level the floor off after sealing then this would be perfect for you.
