Stands up to stains making cleaning easier

floorsaver Concrete Sealer is really 2 products in 1. It contains a micronised acrylic which penetrates into porous concrete to harden and dustproof, plus a cross-linking acrylic which forms a film on the floor surface. Being so penetrative means that it can't peel off and the surface film shrugs off stains and makes cleaning far easier.

    Step 1 - Preparation:

    • Surfaces should be clean and reasonably dry. It does not matter if some residual damp remains after cleaning, but make sure that the floor is as dry as possible since the product works by absorption into a dry base.
    • Use Floorsaver Cleaner and Degreaser to remove oil and grease.
    • Floorsaver Concrete Sealer is suitable for bare, porous concrete only. If in doubt that your surface is porous, tip a cup of water onto it and see if some soaks in, if so, Floorsaver Concrete Sealer is suitable. If the water beads up on the floor and shows little sign of soaking in, please do not use our product.
    • If the floor is quite clean, a good sweep and vacuum may be enough. Avoid washing very porous surfaces such as sand and cement screed since they will absorb so much water you'll need to wait a day or so for them to dry out.

    Step 2 - Repairs:

    • Fill small surface holes and cracks using Floorsaver Crack & Hole Filler. Use Floorsaver Pourable Concrete Filler for holes 5mm-50mm deep. Floorsaver Mouldable Concrete Filler can be used if you want a curved edge, such as a stair nosing, etc.
    • Just to be aware, you will see the repair through the clear sealer.

    Step 3 - Application:

    • Shake the container for a few seconds. Pour it onto the floor, a small area at a time and distribute evenly using a soft broom, working it well into the surface. If it immediately 'disappears' into a very porous surface, add a little more. Keep the application even and avoid letting the product puddle on the surface. One coat is usually enough, but a second coat may be required on very porous surfaces or to achieve an even finish.
    • Clean applicators in water.

      Ask a Question
      • A: The concrete sealer will slightly darken the substrate and will give a low sheen finish, it is not a matt finish.

      • A: Hi, it is breathable and the moisture content of concrete should be less than 75% relative humidty.  However, the concrete must not be damp, if it's damp the Concrete Sealer will not be able to penetrate and do its job.

      • A: We wouldn’t suggest using the Concrete Sealer before the 2 part epoxy paint as this requires a porous substrate to adhere to you would be better off using the floor etcher to prepare the bare concrete.
